The week started off on a low with the weather being so cold
and with cold weather comes moody kids, with the cold Monday morning chill upon
us the tutors decided to tutor the grade two’s for the morning session.
First up was 2A, playing tutoring games and reading games
with them followed by the 2B with the same process. The kids worked in groups
but at the same time getting individual attention, the process went very smooth
and the kids were having a ball of a time and mite I say that the behavior was
excellent and the kids energy levels toward the games and reading were so high
and the tutor’s were absolutely enjoying themselves with these kids.
Many of these kids are not on the level that they should be
because they were never taught how to by their parents and also reading in the
heideveld community a huge problem because of gangsterism is being a major
factor in the community. Some parents are not interested in the kids schooling
and not taking the initiative to sit down with the kids every night to improve
their kids literacy skills as we continue to go forward in faith GOD
